The beaches of Newfoundland contain some of the oldest rock in the world. Each beach has its own unique personality and is a geologists dream. If you ever thought of hiking and discovering your own paradise of windworn driftwood and seashells then these shores are for you!
I spent my entire childhood staring at sea urchin shells, beach glass,starfish, jelly fish and rocks, tons of rocks, rocks of every kind, purple rocks, red rocks, blue rocks, rocks of every colour, every type. No matter what problems ever arose in my daily life a trip to the beach would sooth them, make them small. There's nothing like a vast ocean poring over a sturdy shore to give you some perspective.
